FUNDAMENTALISM DEAD?
I was trained and brought along by the remnant of the 70's Independent Baptist Movement. I listened to all of the hype, all of the preaching, and watched all of their lifestyles. I am now about the business of going back to examine these men and their teachings. I am discovering that there is more to it than meets the eye.
When they say they it is not about the money, watch out. Check to see who owns what and in whose name it is in.
They are staunch defenders of the "local church" until it no longer suits them and then the accounts and property will be in their own name.
He preaches that the "local church" is God's organism on earth, but he can do a better job preserving the work so turn it over to him.
The church should do the "Will of God" concerning its service, but all paid positions must be kept in his family.
Sacrifice is grand, you sacrifice so that he can enjoy the grandeur.
The man of God should be given every benefit of the doubt and never questioned, even when what he does is contrary to his preaching. "Are you questioning me?"
ARE YOU QUESTIONING ME?
Watch out when the preachers start trading meetings. Preacher "A" goes to church "B" and tells them they ought to love their man of God and buy him a truck. In a few months Preacher "B" will be at church "A" telling them to buy their pastor a car. You are robbing God's people and you will give an account.
Watch the money and the property. Whose name is it in?
